PICTURES OF THE B-29 CRASH IN CAPE CORAL INCLUDED!

I have no affiliation with R/Sea Hawks, but do enjoy watching the shows with my family. As we were arriving to the event on Saturday, a jet crashed and the fire department was involved… Unfortunately we do not have any pictures of the mishap. My son did get some good pictures though, including the aftermath of the 20′ wingspan / $75000 B-29 crash. Apparently the aircraft had an engine stall during a risky ‘flat spin’ manuver, causing the ‘pilot’ to be unable to recover. With almost perfect weather conditions, the event was fairly crowded on Saturday and we did not attend on Sunday.

We did not get a picture of the takeoff, but found this one (of the actual Cape Coral flight) on the internet.

In my opinion, this guy was the best ‘pilot’ at the event.

While visiting in SouthWest Florida Steve catches this nice bass in a small Fort Myers pond using a borrowed Walmart pole. What a dick, hey…

R/Sea Hawks – Jets over the Cape

I have no affiliation with R/Sea Hawks, it is just nearby and can provide a few hours of fun…
Some of these ‘toys’ are pretty impressive, and of course there are crashes.

Lion Country Safari / KOA

While camping to our family is more about the experience one would enjoy at a state park (hiking, exploring, relaxing around the campfire and so on), Lion Country is a unique place when compared to most KOA’s. Rather than offering only a open field full of elderly couples and their yappy dogs watching TV inside their ‘busses’ (maybe a tad of exaggeration, but you get the idea), this facility has a drive thru ‘zoo’ with an African Safari theme. You can see much of Africa’s wildlife right out the windows of your car, including Lions (though pictures of them sleeping in the shade through the fence did not make it to this post). Located near West Palm Beach Florida, this is probably the only KOA I have been at that I would recommend as a fun place to visit… Anyway, here are some of the pictures we took that weekend.
