Depending on the weather of course, City of Palms Park can be a very nice place for a concert. As a parent, I am more comfortable allowing my teenage children to attend events here, and sometimes the whole family will go. No, it is not a place for small children, but adults, families and teenagers attend together and I have never seen things get out of control.

Another local attraction I have no affiliation with and am providing this information because it is something fun to do for those in South Florida… The light show is located in Cape Coral, Florida (a link to the Planet Monkman Christmas website, with directions and other information is posted at the end of this article). Being an electronic technician myself, I can only imagine the work that must go into a show like this, not to mention the job of simply setting all this stuff up. The lights are synchronized to music and it is an impressive show, cooler than I expected actually, and certainly something kids of all ages will enjoy. The picture simply does not do it justice, and more lights have been added to the 2009 show. I do not want to cut in on the work done here, or bypass his good intentions, so please visit the Planet Monkman Christmas website for more information. What I can say it is worth the time to go check it out, even the Grinch would have to smile at this.
